Privacy
This site is run by Wessel van der A ([email protected]). It uses no cookies and no third-party trackers or fonts.
What is measured
To understand which links are useful, the server counts page views, link clicks and contact-card downloads. For each of these it stores only:
- the time, and which link was followed;
- the domain of the page you came from (e.g.
instagram.com), never the full address; - campaign tags in the link itself (
utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign); - your country, as determined by Cloudflare — never your city or IP address;
- device type, browser family and operating system family (e.g. "mobile, Safari, iOS");
- your preferred language (e.g. "en");
- a pseudonymous visitor code used to count unique visitors per day.
The visitor code
The visitor code is a one-way hash of your IP address, browser user-agent and a random value that is replaced every 24 hours. The random value of the previous day is deleted, so codes cannot be linked across days or traced back to you. Your IP address itself is never written to disk.
Light or dark mode
If you use the light/dark switch, your choice is remembered in your own browser (local storage) so the site looks the same next time. It is never sent to the server, and you can clear it with your browser's site data.
Legal basis and retention
This minimal, anonymous measurement is based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and does not access or store information on your device, so no consent banner is needed. Raw records are deleted automatically after 395 days.
Hosting
Traffic is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes connection data to protect and deliver the site. See Cloudflare's own privacy policy for details.
Your rights
Because the data cannot be tied to you, it usually cannot be looked up or deleted per person. If you have a question, get in touch.
